My name is Cape and I have been diagnosed with multiple anxiety disorders throughout my 20 years of life. I tried many remedies to try and fix my anxiety but it was way too debilitating for me to handle. I reached out to my doctor and they put me on an antidepressant that was absolutely life changing. I was lucky enough to only have to go through one trial to find my “right medicine” that gave me my life back but I know this is not the case for everyone. Finding the right medicine for someone can be frustrating, and very time consuming. I’m a firm believer that there IS something out there to help every single person with a mental illness. Whether that is therapy, exercising, meditating, yoga, etc. Some people may take more time to find that “right fit” for them, but that does not mean there is not something out there that can help you. You have every right to be upset, and frustrated but please do not give up hope. It is a very timely process but when you reach a point in your life where you find that solution, it makes everything worth it. The biggest piece of advice I have is that people react to different things, differently. Something that makes me anxious/depressed, may not make you anxious/depressed and vice versa. No matter the situation, just remember your feelings are ALWAYS valid. Lastly, please be understanding with others along with yourself as we continue to live in a very difficult world.
