Upcoming Influencer: Issy Minas

maddyf9

Hi! My name is Isabella Minas (@isabellaaminas), and i’m a 17 year old small youtuber/business owner from Toronto! First off, I just wanna say thank you to Maddy for reaching out to me and giving me this opportunity to be featured on her amazing account. Today I wanna focus a little bit on presence, and what that means to me. Since quarantine began, i’ve definitely struggled with my mental health more than previous years. I’ve learned a lot about being present, letting go of the past, and not stressing about the future. I’m definitely still learning, because I still dwell and stress way more often then I should. Especially being a senior in high school, there’s a lot of thoughts I have about my future. This causes me to feel incredibly stressed and anxious about 90% of the time, especially because i’m not one of those people who knows what they want to do with their life. Zero clue. So if you’re like that too, i’m right there with you! The world can be a tough and intimidating place, and our heads get so filled up with overwhelming worries and what if’s that just feel out of our control. But what i’m working on, and what i’d love for you to work on, is to try to live in the moment and take everything day by day. Be grateful for each day you wake up, because life is unpredictable and short. All of the time and energy we spend overthinking about the future or dwelling on the past is taking up the time we should be focusing on living our lives to the fullest and working on becoming the best versions of ourselves. I’m gonna end this off with a cheesy quote, because i’m a sucker for those and it feels right haha. “How your life feels is more important than how it looks”. I love this quote and am trying really hard to live by it, because it reminds me to take a step back and remember that living a life that makes me happy is so much more important that convincing others that my life is great. Whenever i’m feeling stressed, I like to slow down, appreciate the little things around me, and remember to focus on what makes me happy. Because in the end, all the stuff your worried about right now, big or small, just won’t matter. But your happiness always will. Xoxo, Issy.
